Bawumia mourns former NPP Chairman Samual Odoi-Sykes

Former Vice President and 2028 NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed condolences to the family of former NPP National Chairman, Samuel Odoi-Sykes, following his death.
In a tribute, Dr. Bawumia described the late Odoi-Sykes as a founding member of the New Patriotic Party who served as National Chairman and later as Ghana’s High Commissioner to Canada.
Samuel Odoi-Sykes served as NPP National Chairman from 1998 to 2001, a period during which the party won its first presidential election victory in the Fourth Republic in 2000.
Dr. Bawumia said the late politician and diplomat holds an honoured place in the history of the NPP, particularly for his leadership during the party’s historic electoral breakthrough in 2000.
He said Odoi-Sykes’ contribution to the development of the party and his service to Ghana would long be remembered.
Dr. Bawumia extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, loved ones and all those mourning the former NPP chairman.
