Bawumia visits st. jude’s catholic church at new weija
Former Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has paid a visit to St. Jude’s Catholic Church at New Weija, a church he says he was privileged to support in building in fulfilment of a promise made to his friend and resident priest, Father Andrew Campbell.
Dr. Bawumia said the visit, which took place earlier today, gave him the opportunity to see the completed church edifice, describing the experience as deeply moving.
According to him, the construction of the church was made possible by God’s grace and represented the fulfilment of a commitment he had made to Father Andrew Campbell.
“Earlier today, I had the honour of visiting St. Jude’s Catholic Church at New Weija, a church I was privileged, by God’s grace, to help build in fulfilment of a promise to my good friend and resident priest, Father Andrew Campbell,” Dr. Bawumia stated.
He said seeing the beautiful edifice standing today was an emotional and fulfilling moment.
The visit highlights Dr. Bawumia’s continued appreciation for faith-based institutions and their important role in promoting unity, values and development within communities.
