Bunbong in the Northern Region will today, October 3, 2026, come alive with rich Northern culture as the 'Bungbong Linujil Festival' is held at the Koyatu Memorial Library Park.
The festival, hosted by Ubor Wumbe Dawuni, starts at 1:30 PM and is expected to bring together chiefs, cultural troupes, youth and lovers of traditional music from across the north.
Headlining the event is internationally acclaimed, Grammy-nominated reggae star Rocky Dawuni, who will give a special live performance alongside other special guests.
According to the organizers, the festival is aimed at showcasing and preserving *the best in Northern cultures* — from smock, drumming and dancing, to food, history and community unity.
The Bungbong Linujil Festival has over the years become a platform for promoting cultural identity and youth inclusion through music and storytelling, with the Koyatu Memorial Library Park serving as a centre for learning and cultural convergence.
