Minority Caucus Congratulates Newly Elected NPP National Officers

The Minority Caucus in Parliament has congratulated the newly elected National Executives of the New Patriotic Party following the party’s National Delegates Conference held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
The Caucus extended special congratulations to John Boadu on his election as National Chairman and Justin Kodua Frimpong on his re-election as General Secretary, as well as all other national officers elected at the conference.
The Minority Caucus also singled out Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo Bamba, for special commendation following his election as First Vice Chairman. The Caucus said his victory, which came with the highest number of votes among the vice-chairmanship candidates, demonstrated the party’s recognition of its grassroots supporters and the need for greater inclusion in decision-making at the highest level.
In a statement, the Caucus commended the more than 7,000 delegates who participated in the conference, describing their conduct as a reflection of patriotism, discipline and commitment to internal democracy.
It also congratulated candidates who contested the various positions but were unsuccessful, urging them to continue contributing their talents, experience and networks to the development of the party. The Caucus said the outcome of the elections should not divide the party, stressing that all members remained part of one NPP.
The Minority Caucus further expressed appreciation to the Electoral Commission, security personnel, the people of Kumasi and party supporters for their roles in ensuring the successful conduct of the conference.
The Caucus said with the party’s reorganisation now complete, it was ready to work with the John Boadu-led national executives and the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, towards victory in the 2028 general elections.
