Press Statement: Set the Record straight on Yendi SHS Electoral Area- Nayiilifong transformer

PRESS STATEMENT: SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON THE YENDI SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL ELECTORAL AREA–NAYIILIFONG TRANSFORMER
The NDC Yendi Constituency has noted the recent publication by Hon. Farouk Aliu Mahama, the former Member of Parliament, presenting the Yendi Senior High school electoral area–Nayiilifong transformer as his intervention. The facts say otherwise.
The transformer was procured by Lawyer Jofa, who sourced it from Sunyani. It has been secured for the area and is awaiting installation. Installation is delayed because the area is waterlogged, and the engineering work must be done safely when conditions allow. This is a matter of public safety, not neglect.
Yet the publication presents the transformer as a new intervention by the former MP. The worse is, it uses old photos to create the impression of fresh action on the ground. This is an attempt to manufacture credit for work he did not do. His frivolous post has since been shared by some sycophantic booklickng quarms of the former mp.
Electricity supply is not a stage for propaganda. Families, traders and students in Yendi Senior High school electoral area–Nayiilifong need reliable power, not recycled pictures and borrowed achievements.
We therefore call on the former MP to state publicly how he procured the transformer and when, to explain the source and date of the photos he used, and to withdraw the misleading publication and apologise to the residents.
We also dare the former MP, and any NPP communicator, to make themselves available for a public debate on the procurement of this transformer. Let him bring his evidence, and we will bring ours. The people of Yendi will be the judges.
Leadership is about delivering for the people, not claiming what others have delivered. The people of Yendi can tell the difference between procuring a transformer and taking credit for one.We therefore wish to inform the general public to disregard the desperate former Mp hallucinating post this evening.
Signed:
Adam Halid Kukpalga
