Sakafia SHS receives new classroom block and sanitation facility

The Minister for the Interior and Member of Parliament for Asawase Constituency, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak, has commissioned a newly constructed six-unit first-floor classroom block at Sakafia Senior High School.
The facility, which includes offices and stores, was commissioned alongside a six-seater water closet (W/C) facility as part of efforts to improve educational infrastructure and create a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by municipal education directors, traditional leaders, members of the clergy and other stakeholders.
Hon. Muntaka Mubarak said the completion of the projects marked another significant milestone in efforts to improve educational infrastructure across Asawase and provide students with safe, modern and appropriate facilities.

He reaffirmed the government's commitment, under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, to expanding access to quality education and investing in infrastructure needed to give every child the opportunity to learn, develop and succeed.
Sakafia Senior High School is also benefiting from other major infrastructure projects, including a 2,000-capacity assembly hall and a four-storey girls' dormitory.
According to the Minister, the additional projects are expected to increase the school's capacity, improve student welfare and enhance the overall learning experience.
He stressed that investment in education goes beyond the construction of classrooms, saying it is about creating opportunities, empowering young people and nurturing responsible citizens who will contribute to Ghana's development.

He said the government would continue to invest in education and create the necessary conditions for young people to thrive, stressing that the success of today's children would form the foundation of a stronger Ghana tomorrow.
