Tamale: Three Children Found Dead in Boot of Car at Koblimahigu
Three children have reportedly been found dead in the boot of a car at Koblimahigu in Tamale this dawn.
The children are reportedly two children of Afa Dawuda, an Imam, and one child of Afa Shani, a Muezzin. They are believed to be aged about 11, 5 and 3 years.
According to eyewitness accounts, the owner of the vehicle, identified as Mr Abdallah, an Immigration Officer, alerted residents to the presence of the children after Fajr prayers.
Mr Abdallah has since been taken into police custody to assist with investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The bodies have been conveyed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for confirmation of death and further examination.
Police are investigating the incident, while details surrounding how the children came to be found in the vehicle remain unclear.
