Thrive Nest Graduates first Cohort of Adolescent Girls Academy

Thrive Nest, a non-profit organisation, has celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of its Adolescent Girls Academy (AGA), with 30 recent Senior High School graduates completing an intensive eight-week programme designed to build their skills, confidence and knowledge for life beyond secondary education.
The programme equipped participants with practical knowledge in digital skills, entrepreneurship and employability, health and wellbeing, as well as leadership and life skills.

These areas were aimed at preparing the young women to navigate opportunities and challenges as they transition into higher education, employment, entrepreneurship and leadership.
A major highlight of the graduation ceremony was a career pathways and life-after-Senior High School session led by mentors Hariya Bala and Nihad Karim. The mentors shared practical insights on career decision-making, managing uncertainty and preparing for the next stage of the participants’ personal and professional journeys.
The graduation marked the successful completion of the first cohort of the Adolescent Girls Academy, which seeks to empower young women with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to make informed decisions and pursue meaningful opportunities.

The Adolescent Girls Academy is a collaborative initiative between Thrive Nest Ghana and Allied Relief, with a focus on equipping adolescent girls and young women with the tools and confidence to successfully navigate life after Senior High School.
