Tolon DCE commissions CHPS compound at Kpalso-Kpana

The District Chief Executive for Tolon, Hon. Braimah Seidu, has commissioned a newly constructed Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound with an accompanying nurses’ quarters at Kpalso-Kpana in the Tolon District of the Northern Region.
The facility forms part of a number of healthcare infrastructure projects being undertaken under the leadership of Hon. Braimah Seidu to improve access to quality and affordable healthcare services across the district.
Since assuming office, the DCE has prioritised the provision of healthcare infrastructure as part of efforts to address the growing health needs of residents and improve access to essential medical services, particularly in underserved communities.
The newly commissioned CHPS Compound is expected to bring basic healthcare services closer to residents of Kpalso-Kpana and surrounding communities, many of whom previously had to travel considerable distances to access healthcare.

The accompanying nurses’ quarters is also expected to support the retention and availability of health personnel at the facility, ensuring that residents can access timely healthcare services within their communities.
The project is expected to contribute to improved healthcare delivery and reduce the challenges associated with long-distance travel for basic medical care among residents in the area.
