The Managing Director of GCB Bank, Farihan Alhassan, has engaged a former Managing Director of the Bank, Mr Ernest Mawuli Agbesi, as part of efforts to draw on the experiences and insights of past leaders to inform the Bank’s journey forward.

Mr Agbesi served as Managing Director of GCB from 2016 to 2017. His meeting with the current MD provided an opportunity for the two leaders to reflect on GCB’s journey, exchange experiences and discuss perspectives on leadership, the Bank’s evolution and opportunities ahead.

The engagement also highlighted the importance of learning from those who have previously walked the path and contributed to shaping the institution.

For Mr Alhassan, such engagements provide an avenue to connect with individuals whose leadership and contributions have played a role in building the GCB Bank of today.

The conversation underscored the value of institutional memory and shared leadership experiences in strengthening the Bank’s vision and direction for the future.

The MD’s engagement with Mr Agbesi forms part of a broader appreciation of the contributions of past leaders and the lessons their experiences offer as GCB continues to evolve and pursue new opportunities.
